My experience with Tom Storino was exceptional! As most people in the real estate industry know, working with many of the larger banking institutions is like standing in line with a meaningless number. You have no face and no personal relationship with the individuals involved and response times are usually quite lengthy regardless of their importance.
Working with Tom on the other hand was like working with a good friend and mortgage professional that is both responsive and aware of where in process everything was! My calls were always returned in a timely manner and emails got near immediate responses. It was truly like working with a mortgage banker that was sitting in my office. I could not have a asked for someone more responsive! Tom is only one person and only has so much control over how quickly things get done. He was however, always on top of everything, diligent, responsive, knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. There are a lot of opinions in today’s lending environment, many are not very pleasant and many of the best are hindered by their own employers, peers and bureaucracy. Tom seems to have the road map to a smooth transaction and knows how to get things done and that communication is the key stone of any business relationship. He’s truly one of the best in the industry and finding one that’s even close would be a daunting task. There are people who are good at what they do… And then there are people like Tom Storino who are truly phenomenal at what they do. Throughout the entire process of my home building- he was there. He did everything he said he would. He responded very quickly to all of my obnoxious questions; he was on top of everything ; he was professional and clearly very knowledgeable. I had originally started off with another lender who, for lack of better words, was nothing short of a nightmare. My builder was getting very impatient and I was in a bad position. I took the leap and switched to Neighborhood Loans which further angered my builder as they would now be waiting slightly longer for the loan commitment they needed. (I switched at a time when my builder had already been waiting a month on an updated loan commitment letter from my old lender.) I spoke with Tom that first night and I knew from there on out, I wouldn’t have to worry or stress myself out like I had with my old lender. Never once did I question my choice. Never once did I question his abilities. Tom and his group consistently exceeded all my expectations. They made my home buying experience painless, stress free and joyful! (How many lenders can people sincerely say that about?) Tom followed through and because of him- I am now in my dream house (with a fantastic interest rate, too!). Before meeting and working with Tom, buying our first home was intimidating and unobtainable, in my head.
